33jvmy84l1Today is the International Coffee Day as well as a New Moon day. As a lover of this popular, millenary, and stimulant beverage, here I share with you this ritual to harmonize the energy of your home or any place where you are.

Waking up in the morning and drinking a cup of coffee is one of the most common daily rituals around the world. Who doesn’t like to start their day with a cup of coffee? Its enchanting aroma and exquisite flavor awakens the senses and keeps you alert during the day. Coffee is well known for its stimulant properties. Nonetheless, in magic rituals, it is used to move energy.

What is commonly known as “negative energy” is really stagnant energy, energy that doesn’t flow. In this ritual, coffee is used for smudging. To cleanse the energy of your home, follow these two simple steps:

  1. Make black coffee as you usually do.
  2. Go around the house spreading the coffee aroma and smoke by entering each room in clockwise direction, in other words, with the left side of your body towards the wall. Start at the main door of your home with your cup of coffee or coffeemaker in hand, entering each room until you go back to the main entrance of your home. (See the diagram below).

Walking around spaces in clockwise motion helps to harmonize the energy of the place. Spreading the smoke and smell of hot coffee in every space stimulates, moves, and reactivates stagnant energy. You can use the same method at your workplace or business, or anywhere you are. This ritual is very easy. The best days to do it is during the New Moon or Lilith Moon (the day before the New Moon).
